Essex Valley School, located in West Caldwell, NJ contracted Metro Energy Solutions to act as its energy consultant.  Metro Energy Solutions’ was asked to upgrade the facilities lighting system, increase light levels and reduce their energy costs through energy efficiency. Metro Energy Solutions services included performing the energy audit and analysis, re-designing of the lighting system, and managing the installation of the project.   

The project involved retrofitting (508) inefficient T-12 lighting fixtures with magnetic ballasts and replacing them with new energy efficient T-8 lamps and electronic ballasts throughout the school. Metro Energy Solutions also installed new LED exit signs and new lenses throughout the school. In addition, Metro Energy Solutions also redesigned a new lighting system in the gymnasium and installed (20) new metal halide fixtures.

The new lighting system meets the goals set by Essex Valley by increasing light levels throughout the facility and improving the aesthetics of the facility.
